InterActual® Announces License Agreement with InterVideo

WinDVD® is First Fully Integrated DVD Player to Integrate

InterActual DVD-ROM & Online Experience

SAN JOSE, CA, (October 10, 2003) – InterActual Technologies, Inc. announced today a license agreement with InterVideo, Inc. (NASDAQ: IVII) to integrate InterActual’s proprietary DVD technology as an optional new feature of InterVideo’s WinDVD products. This collaboration offers consumers the best possible movie viewing experience possible on a PC, by combining InterActual’s expertise in DVD-ROM and interactive web features with the industry’s most recognized DVD player, WinDVD.

The experience of viewing InterActual-enabled DVDs on PCs goes far beyond that of standard DVD videos. InterActual enhanced DVDs allow viewers to interact with their favorite DVD titles in fun and exciting new ways. “We are excited about integrating InterActual’s unique features directly into WinDVD, including games, multimedia playback tracks, printables, photo galleries and enhanced commentaries,” said Todd Collart, President and CEO of InterActual.

Over 70% of the top 25 shipping DVDs consistently include InterActual-enhanced features that are designed to leverage the computing power and Internet connectivity of the personal computer. Steve Ro, founder and CEO of InterVideo, explained, in the past, consumers had to run separate InterActual software included with the enhanced DVD discs to enjoy the interactive features. “By integrating InterActual’s technology into InterVideo’s products, consumers can now access all the features of InterActual-enhanced DVDs in conjunction with the premium WinDVD features our customers have come to expect,” said Ro.

Under the terms of the agreement, InterVideo has been granted the non-exclusive right, including related intellectual property rights, to integrate InterActual’s proprietary technology with all of its WinDVD products.
